As Alice spies on Haruhiko from the classroom door, Akimasa, who is sitting next to Haruhiko, notices her. Mistaking Alice's stares are directed towards him, Akimasa gets up to greet Alice, saying how someone keeps looking at him. Alice clarifies how she wasn't looking at him, and instead was looking a friend. Akimasa asks for her name (as they've never met before), but Alice refuses to answer him, as she was bullied for her name in middle school. Coincidentally, Chiyo and Yukari walk past, calling out to Alice. Alice becomes angry and sad now that Akimasa knows her name, thinking that he is going to make fun of her name. But to her surprise, Akimasa likes her name.
Alice becomes angry as to how casually Akimasa uses her first name, and says only the person she likes can refer to her like that. Akimasa, confused, asks that isn't he the one that Alice likes, but Alice shoots him down, saying she doesn't like him. Akimasa asks what her last name is, with her replying Himemiya. Akimasa then leaves, saying bye to Alice, without her being able to correct herself.
